Where do I begin? I truly can't tell you how much I enjoy North Riverside and all the benefits that this small Village has to offer. Besides living here with my wife and 2 daughters, as a Real Estate Consultant, I truly feel that North Riverside is one of the best buys in the western suburbs, when it comes to buying a home. One of the reasons I say this is because I have found the residents here to be some of the most friendly people I know. We moved here in 2006 and after about 2 weeks of living here I was walking to my car one day. A police car was driving past the house and he stopped as I was getting into my car. He rolls down the window and says to me "welcome to the neighborhood". I was kind of set back for a second and I asked him how he knew we were new. He proceeds to tell me that he seen the FOR SALE sign in the front yard, then a SOLD sign, then the sign was gone and now a new set of cars parked out in front. I laughed jokingly with him and introduced myself and thanking him for stopping. As he drove away I was immediately impressed.

 

Being close to the forest preserves it's common to go for a nightly walk and see deer roaming around the neighborhood or getting up early in the morning and notice a mother deer and her spotted fawn laying in your back yard. Another great advantage that North Riverside has is it's High School. High School District 208 is Riverside-Brookfield High School. RB High School carried a 99% graduation percentage in the 2006-2007 school year and was recognized in a Newsweek Magazine article as one of the best high schools in the Nation.

 

With low taxes, great services that are offered to their residents, great people and a highly recognized high school, I feel that North Riverside is a great place to live.

 

With nice parks, great people, convenient location to shopping and transportation, these are just a few of many reasons that help to make North Riverside a great place to live.
